STOCK DUNLOP

One of our favorite Automobilia signs of all time : 1937 STOCK DUNLOP’s Bernd Rosemeyer (Germany, 1909 – 1938), 64cm x 90cm, folded edge. Bernd Rosemeyer was a German racing pilot and a member of the German SS, where he held the rank of Hauptsturmführer. He was, as a contemporary of Rudolf Caracciola and Tazio Nuvolari, one of the greatest racing drivers of the 1930’s. He mainly drove an Auto Union sponsored by Adolf Hitler. He died tragically at the young age of 29 in january 1938 in an attempt to break the speed record in a Auto Union Type R (a recordcar), at the Frankfurt-Darmstadt speedway.
