SPA MONOPOLE – L’eau qui pétille

Time for another Belgian iconic sign, Jean D’ylens’ SPA MONOPOLE with black background in an absolutely stunning condition. Look at these fantastic colours and superb gloss. We love it! The Spa Pierrot is a Belgian classic and commonly regarded as a symbol of Belgian enamel advertising. The Pierrot was created in the 1920ies by the artist Jean D’Ylen. It was used in 1924 to launch the advertising campaign for Spa-Monopole products. The black version is probably one of the most sought-after signs in Europe. This 1948 version was produced at the Emaillerie Belge in Bruxelles. The same year Emaillerie Belge produced also 50pcs of the similar size SPA ORANGINA. (see last photo / private collection)
