PARAPLUIE-REVEL

In 1922 the Revel Company engaged the famous Italian poster/art-designer Leonetto Cappiello (IT, 1875-1942) to create this famous advertising representing three people with umbrellas. The doublesided enamel flagsigns were produced at the Emaillerie Alsacienne Strasbourg in France in 1922. A few years later in 1929 the Parisian printer’s firm, Devambez, printed the oversized posters in the name of “Les Nouvelles Affiches Cappiello”. Here’s one of Cappiello’s most affordable original enamel signs from the glorious 1920’s. Mint condition.
