Extremely rare beer sign from the border town of Metz. The motif speaks for itself. The manufacturing still impresses with its extraordinary colour intensity. Design by Paul Mohr, who was one of the bést French poster designers during the roaring twenties (les années folles). He did not only design for brands like Banania, Lustucru, Englebert and Cherry Rocher, but he also loved making designs for spirits, licors, anisettes, kina’s, aperitifs & brandys. His 1924 design for “Bière Champigneulles” is probably one of his catchiest designs ever, but Paul also designed for that other famous French beer “La Bière de L’Union” (Metz).
