SPA MONOPOLE – L’eau qui pétille

Jean D’Ylens’ SPA MONOPOLE with black background hits our gallery once more. We love it! The Spa Pierrot is a Belgian classic and commonly regarded as a symbol of Belgian enamel advertising. The Pierrot was created in the 1920ies by the artist Jean D’Ylen. It was used in 1924 to launch the advertising campaign for Spa-Monopole products. The black version is probably one of the most sought-after signs in Europe. This piece was produced at the Emaillerie Belge in Bruxelles. It has been in private hands for many years, together with the Spa Citron.
