Pastilles VALDA thermometer

WOW ! Isn’t she lovely … the french star actress Michèle Morgan, also known from various Valda Pastilles advertisements. An illustration/portrait that was created by the hand of Robert Falcucci (FR, 1900-1989) nearly 100 years ago.

The green Valda pastille was already created back in 1905 by pharmacist Henri-Edmond Canonne (1867-1961), who had his practice on Rue Réaumur in Paris.

Right here in our Gallery exceptionally, maybe even unique, as a thermometer variant. Yes, we can feel the temperatures rising when looking into her blue eyes ! What a superb rarity, made at the Émaillerie Alsacienne Strasbourg around 1936. We have no records of another Valda thermometer like this one existing today.
It comes as a set of two porcelain signs.
The sign is in excellent condition, with bright colours and a scratchfree surface.
